"It's a good time to be a croissant lover in Seattle. Though Pufftown is a newcomer on the scene, it has quickly risen to the ranks of local staples like Nouveau, Petit Pierre, and Rosellini's. They execute their staples—butter croissants, pain au chocolat, almondines—exceptionally well. But on top of that, they've got a ton of fun and inventive flavors, many of them rotating. While not all of the flavor combinations were perfectly spot on, the care and experimentation make it easy to forgive. They also have rotating focaccia. This week it was cheeseburger flavor and man, is it delicious. Don't overlook it! A couple pro tips: They open early and tend to sell out, especially on weekends. They only sell their almondine and chocolatine (which is a personal favorite of mine) on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:30 am sharp until they run out (which they will). They only sell focaccia starting at 10:00 am until they run out (and again, they will). While it's a little inconvenient if you just want to pick up a variety of items, it gives you a reason to come back another day (or hang around the market for a few hours, which is also a great way to spend a morning). Pufftown is certainly a contender for the best croissant in Seattle. You won't be disappointed."
"ran by one of the nicest people with one of the best pastries in town. gotta get there before 11am for full selection"
"Updated: I gave it another shot and tried the goat cheese asparagus croissant and the kumquat apricot croissant...both were very good. Changing to 5 stars. With so many great reviews I decided to check it out. I got the potato gratin..it looked good and the flavor profile was good but I was not blown away by the taste. I also felt the price of $7+tax is a bit steep for the size of the pastry. Service was warm and welcoming."
