The store is clean, the layout is easy to navigate, and the checkout process is usually quick, even during busy hours. Prices can be a bit higher than big-box retailers, which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 5, but you’re paying for quality and convenience."

"I should have shopped here when I lived just 2 miles away (for 10 years)! But now I bus from the south end half the time for the shopping experience. Excellent variety of quality and price points to fit your budget, the best assortment of hot sauces (try the Bootsie's!) and a good mix of ground and butchered meats and soup bones. Great options for vegan meat substitutes, cheeses & milks. Liquor and beer, produce and fruits, fresh flowers. And great hot deli. Don't wait as long as I did before coming here! (The only thing I wouldn't get here is probably seafood, only because of limited selection at this store, and there are so many excellent smaller specialized shops in Seattle for good seafood)"

Join a group of quirky locals for wine isle wine tasting on Thursday evenings that boasts the store’s robust, well-curated, and reasonably priced wine selection. Nestled at the back of the store, an unassuming cache of cookies takes the cake as the crown jewel of the Hilltop Red Apple. “Hopes Royale” cookies are feature coconut flakes, chocolate chunks, and macadamia nuts with an irresistibly fudgy center. Hats off to “Hope”- these are truly the best cookies I have ever had!"
