For demographic purposes I am a Black Lesbian Woman who acquired a Traumatic Brain injury I felt safe and comfortable at all times working with this team. Prior to Bringing my case here I was with another Law firm. No one can prepare you or properly compensate you in any way shape or form for having your entire life crumble before your eyes like sand slipping through your hands. Janelle can't bring a loved one back, or get your job back, or fix everything in your life after such a huge tragedy. Thing I myself Naively at times may have hoped would happen. But her and the office staff did the only thing someone can do when something so traumatic happens. Give you compassion, directness and be steadfast in their resolve. Something that sounds simple but after navigating law and medical system you will come to find out is very rare. I actually ended up firing a lawyer and coming here. I now feel it was the best decision I could have made. Due to handling multiple cases no firm is going to be able to offer hand holding behavior and update you day by day which was something I had to learn. But I always felt like when they knew new information so did I. I also have a Brain injury which means somedays I had Brain fog and may talk in circles or didn't understand things clearly. Sometimes even what we were talking about. But They were always patient with me. instead of just telling me what was possible they always let me make the decisions. Which is rare because they only get paid if you get paid. It takes a special type of person to have that type of resolve and not hear any bias in their voice. Were all only humans. Even when / if the case is resolved it will only be the beginning of facing whatever comes next. So, you can't expect them to make you whole or solve all your issues.
